Local council support.

Some councils run genuinely good free Martyn's Law support for local venues — often built with counter-terrorism policing and sector experts, and often not published openly online. We list what we've verified directly with each council, and how to get access.

Kirklees Council - Emergency Planning

Free Martyn's Law toolkits for a number of the qualifying activity areas, developed through the North East Martyn's Law pilot with counter-terrorism policing, industry experts and sector focus groups. The council has been working on this since 2022 and venues in its Protect and Prepare Group and Safety Advisory Groups get toolkit access through the government's ResilienceDirect platform.

The toolkits are deliberately not published online. Any venue or event organiser in Kirklees can request them by email. Contact: emergency.planning@kirklees.gov.uk

Run council support we should list? We only include what a council has confirmed we may share, worded as agreed. Email hello@premiseready.co.uk and we'll add your area.
