Terms of Service
Last updated: 8 June 2026
1. Who we are
PremiseReady ("we", "us") provides a web tool that helps duty-holders at standard-tier UK premises produce and maintain their own records under the Terrorism (Protection of Premises) Act 2025 ("Martyn's Law"). By using the service you agree to these terms.
2. What the service is — and is not
PremiseReady provides guided documentation and record-keeping aligned to publicly available guidance (such as ProtectUK and GOV.UK). It is not legal, security or counter-terrorism advice, and using it does not guarantee compliance with any law. You — the responsible person — remain solely responsible for deciding whether your premises is in scope, for the suitability of your procedures, and for meeting your legal duties. For complex premises, or if you are unsure, consult the official statutory guidance and, where appropriate, a suitably qualified professional.
3. Your records and data
Your premises records are stored in your account on our servers, so they are available on any device you sign in from. You can export a copy of your records at any time, and we encourage keeping periodic backups of anything you rely on. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you enter (including staff register entries, which should only be added with the person's knowledge). See our Privacy Policy for detail on what we store and how.
4. Subscriptions, billing and refunds
Paid plans are billed annually in advance via Stripe and renew automatically each year unless cancelled before the renewal date. You can cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period and you keep access until then. If you are not satisfied, contact us within 14 days of your first payment and we will refund it. Prices are in GBP and may change with notice for future renewals.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the service, attempt to circumvent paid features, resell access without permission, or upload unlawful content. We may suspend access for serious or repeated breaches.
6. Intellectual property
We own the software, templates and content of the service. Documents you generate from your own information are yours to use for your premises. You may not copy or redistribute the underlying templates or tool as your own product.
7. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for any loss arising from your reliance on the service as a substitute for professional advice or for meeting your legal duties. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law. Our total liability to you is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
8. Changes and termination
We may update the service and these terms; material changes will be posted here with a new date. We may withdraw the service with reasonable notice, in which case we will refund any unused portion of a prepaid year.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of its courts.
